Firstly I would just like to say that I’m in love. I am absolutely in love with my Colourpop Lippie Stix and Lippie Pencil. Let me just say that I am SO impressed with the quality of these lip products. Absolutely BLOWN AWAY.

And the fact that the girls at Colourpop actually write you a note with every package is just such a nice little touch. Yes I know it says “Dear Huiyi” on it. That’s my legal name. shhhhh. But how cute.

Another thing that I adore about ColourPop is that they have a matching lip pencil that goes with every Lippie Stix. I think that is just the most fantastic thing ever. I usually struggle so hard finding a matching lip pencil for my lipsticks, so the fact that they make it easy for you really makes me love it even more. The Lippie Pencils aren’t always an exact match with the Lippie Stix. I’ve heard that there are a few that are just complimentary to each other, and create a really nice lip combo. But the two lip pencils that I bought matched the Lippie Stix perfectly. LOVE.

Now actually onto the products, I bought 5 Lippie Stix, and 2 Lippie Pencils. Each of these lip products retails for $5 each. SO CHEAP. And they truly are AMAZING products. There’s also a discount for first time buyers that gives you $5 dollars off your first purchase I think? Which pretty much means I got a lip product FOR FREE. What’s better than free?

Okay. So time for the run down. Swatches, reviews, and thoughts, LEGGO.

So like I said, I ordered 5 Lippie Stix, and 2 Lippie Pencils.

For Lippie Stixs I bought

  1. Lumiére – This lippie stix was created by Kathleen from Kathleenlights on youtube. It is described on the website as a “Dusty Mauve with a matte finish”. Kathleen described it as a colour that would look good on anyone. I honestly didn’t think it would look THAT flattering on me. I mostly bought it to support Kathleen because I love her but DAMN GIRL. She was right. I love how this looks on me. It’s such a wearable colour yet it isn’t your typical textbook nude colour. Very interesting and just so beautiful. I’m thinking about going back and ordering the matching Lippie Pencil.
  2. Brink – I bought this shade because it was described as a “warm dusty taupe with a matte finish”. The curator that they worked with on this lipstick described it as a perfect Kylie Jenner lip. On my skin tone it actually comes off as more of a slightly peachy pink nude colour. It didn’t come off as a KJ lip for me, but I still ended up loving it. Another very wearable shade yet still not just a normal boring nude. I also purchased the Lippie pencil that came with it.
  3. Leather – Described as a “deep blackened violet” this one is definitely a more unique shade. This reminds me quite a lot of the purple Revlon Matte Balm stick. Swatched next to each other on my hand, they definitely look very similar. Leather is definitely not for the faint of heart, and is a bold choice for a lip. But if you know me, you would know that I love me some bold lips.
  4. Creature Definitely glad I bought the Lippie pencil to go with this one. Colourpop describes it as a “deepened blackened burgundy red with a matte finish”. A GORGEOUS deep red that looks almost black. I am in LOVE with this shade. It is such a statement lip colour it’s ridiculous. When I wear this lip combo, I fear instantly more fierce and pretty much like the baddest bitch around. This was a little harder to perfect because it is such a dark colour, and I would definitely recommend the Lippie Pencil that comes with it to prevent it to feather and come off your face. With the Lippie Pencil, this colour is SUPER long lasting, and survived even me eating. This is honestly a pretty darn good “long-lasting” lipstick for something that doesn’t claim to be long lasting. Probably one of my favourites out of the bunch.
  5. Ellarie – A “deep sultry cranberry with a matte finish”, Ellarie is definitely a beautiful one. Slightly less intense than creature for sure, but still a beautiful statement lip colour for sure. I could probably use this one with my creature Lippie pencil, but I would suggest you buy the matching lip pencil that matches it. The darker shades are always going to be a little harder to make look perfect when you’re lacking the pencil.

Can I just say, once again, how much I adore my new Colourpop purchases. These lip products are such good quality, and for matte lipsticks, they really do not dry out my lips at all. They last a ridiculously long time for a lip product that never mentioned it’s lasting power, and just look so so amazing.
