This week I decided I would put in the effort and actually try to dress like a girly girl. Anyone who knows me knows although I don’t look like a tom boy, I am definitely not a very lady-like and girly type of person. But of course, me being me, I pick the week after I come back from camping and have 68 mosquito bites (mostly on my legs) to wear dresses. Because that’s logical right?
Either way, I’m finally showing my small dress rotation some love and I’ve actually really been enjoying it. One of my favourites is this classic maroon slip dress from Aritzia. The Vivienne dress comes back every season in a few different colours. But it’ll almost always come back in black and white so I would definitely go for one of those.
It’s a little different from some of the other ones I’ve seen in stores because it’s double-lined. It’s got a crepe-y material on top and then it’s lined with a super soft cotton lining which makes wearing the dress extremely comfortable. I find that the double layers also makes the dress drape nicer too.
I’m excited for this new found love for dresses and have already been shopping around to grow my collection. What are your favourite summer dresses?
