I think I’ve discovered a new “OTP”. If you haven’t ever been a part of a TV series couple fandom, OTP stands for one true pair. Usually I use this term to refer to dream couples (Chuck and Blair, Damon and Elena, Rachel and Ross). But on occasion I find clothing pieces that work so beautifully together that I call them OTPs.
My newest favourite pairing has been pairing boyfriend jeans and (pointed) booties. The reason I put “pointed” in brackets is because they don’t necessarily HAVE to be pointed to look good with boyfriend jeans. BUT I love how the sleek feminine silhouette looks with the boyish jeans.
The pair I’m wearing above are from Forever21. Although I find it kind of difficult to find boyfriend jeans at F21, mostly because they’re ALWAYS sold out in my size, when I do they usually are AWESOME. Affordable, soft, comfortable and stylish. What more can you ask for? Usually for trendy jeans , such as really distressed boyfriend jeans, I don’t like spending an insane amount of money because trends pass. I’d rather invest in classic pieces that I know I will love forever.
My booties are from ASOS. I’ve been looking for an affordable pointed chelsea boot for quite some time and I LOVE this one especially because of its resemblance to the ACNE Jensen boot. They were originally $80 but I was lucky enough to get them on sale for $50 ! Such a steal for a great pair of comfortable black booties. More places you can usually find affordable booties are Zara, Top Shop, Aldo and Spring. My go-to places to look when I’m trying to find an affordable option for trending booties and shoes.
I went with a flowy colour-block t-shirt from Oak and Fort to add more femininity to the baggie jeans and then finished the outfit off with my Mackage Rumer jacket.
I love the white top you’re wearing under the leather jacket. Gives the outfit a feminine pop. 🙂
